Plate Capture up to 150ft Away

Infrared LEDs enable efficient night vision, capturing vehicle descriptions and license plates in various lighting conditions.

Plate Capture up to 50ft Away

Our 3MP dual shutter license plate camera with a 2.8-12mm lens offers consistent performance for distances under 50 feet day or night, accommodating vehicle speeds up to 30 mph. Although lacking ANPR features, the camera reliably captures video containing vehicle descriptions and plate numbers, even in challenging lighting conditions. Infrared LEDs facilitate black and white mode in total darkness, but color differentiation of vehicles is not achievable.

Capture in Well-Lit Conditions Only

Installing a license plate capture security system is more cost-effective when sufficient ambient lighting is available through nearby street lamps or floodlights. Vehicles Traveling Over 45mph or Beyond 150ft Away

Our professional camera models can capture plates at speeds up to 45 mph, provided the approaching or departing vehicles are clearly visible. However, recording plates on vehicles traveling over 45 mph requires specialized equipment, not typically available in our camera offerings. Capturing plates from distances exceeding 150 feet is another challenging task that cost-effective LPC, LPR, or ANPR cameras may not handle effectively.

Using a Regular IP Security Camera for Plate Capture

Utilizing a standard IP camera for plate capture often yields subpar results. This approach may work only when the following conditions are met:

. Ample ambient lighting consistently illuminates the plate, allowing the camera to remain in color mode without activating IR LEDs and producing washed-out images.

. Vehicles come to a complete stop; rolling stops may lead to blurred captures.

. The camera is mounted directly in line with approaching or departing vehicles, with an elevation angle not exceeding 15 degrees from the plates.

. The capture distance falls within the camera's focal capabilities, ensuring plate numbers occupy at least one-third of the video frame for discernibility.
